Blybahn – Privacy Statement

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Statement explains how Blybahn, a trade name and label of Zooma B.V., collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our app (the “App”) or interact with us. Zooma B.V. is the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent, secure, and lawful way.

2. What personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following data:

• Account information: email address, username, password (encrypted)
• Profile data: profile photo, biography and selected interests
• User activity: posts, comments, likes, bookmarks
• Device data: IP address, device type, operating system
• Usage data: interactions within the App, log data, crash reports
• Optional: location data (only if you explicitly allow this)

We do not collect special categories of personal data unless you voluntarily include them in your content (e.g. health or religious views in posts).

3. Legal bases for processing
We process personal data based on:

• Consent – e.g. for optional features, newsletters
• Contract – to deliver the core service of the App
• Legal obligation – e.g. to comply with accounting or security laws or court orders
• Legitimate interest – e.g. preventing abuse, improving the platform

You may withdraw your consent at any time in your App settings.

4. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Enable posting, liking, commenting and sharing
• Personalise your experience and content suggestions
• Provide technical support
• Monitor for abuse or violations of our Terms
• Improve the App via analytics and diagnostics
• Send optional updates (only with your consent)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions about you that produce legal consequences or that could significantly affect you in another way.

5. Sharing of data
We may share your data with:

• Processors (e.g. hosting, analytics providers) under GDPR-compliant contracts
• Public authorities, where legally required (e.g. in case of court orders)
• Other users, when you post or interact publicly in the App

All third parties must follow strict data protection standards.

6. International transfers
We do not store or process your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All systems and databases that we use to provide the App are hosted within the EEA. 

7. Data retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary:

• Account data: until you delete your account
• Support and analytics data: limited retention periods and anonymised when possible
• Legal/financial data: retained as required to protect our interests or to comply with retention obligations under applicable law

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

8. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:

• Request us to access, rectify or delete your personal data or to limit the processing of your personal data
• Object to a specific processing operation
• Request us to transfer a copy of your data to a third party (data portability)
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, please let us know. If we cannot resolve it together, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Children’s privacy
Blybahn is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 16 may only use the platform with verifiable parental or guardian consent, in accordance with the GDPR. We do not knowingly process data of users under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has uploaded personal information to the App without your consent, you may contact us using the information provided in this policy.

10. Cookies and tracking
Blybahn does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

We do use essential privacy-friendly technologies to ensure a smooth and secure user experience, such as:

• Local app storage (e.g. for remembering settings)
• Usage analytics (only anonymised or aggregated)
• Crash reporting

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes to this policy, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of these changes and give you an opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. You can always find the latest version within the App and on our website.
